ABOUT CHI DELTA:

Written by Samantha Zimmerman ’19, VP of Membership

Alpha Kappa Psi, also known as AKPsi, is the oldest and largest co-ed professional business fraternity to date and is recognized as the premier developer of principled business leaders. The professional business fraternity values brotherhood, knowledge, integrity, service, and unity which all of the Chi Delta brothers exemplify on and off the SJU campus.

The journey of Chi Delta began in October 2016 when Timothy Brandt Jr. and Samantha Zimmerman expressed interest in starting an AKPsi chapter.  After recruiting 90 members who shared the same vision for a friendly, inclusive, and diverse organization the colonization process began. Then on October 28th 2017, the Chi Delta chapter at Saint Joseph’s University was established after our colony demonstrated time management and the planning skills to become a successful organization.  Today, our brotherhood consists of 101 individuals.

Alpha Kappa Psi is more than an organization; it is a prestigious association of students, professors, and graduates with a common goal to continue growing personally and professionally.  Our chapter prepares all of our members for professional success in the future. The Chi Delta chapter is building brotherhood, improving our surrounding community, and enhancing the values of the fraternity for life.
